MyWindowColorado
My apologies. All of my photos were taken on 35mm or medium format film cameras. These are just digital scans of some of the photos that were on my original website.
The question has become, why is this website named mywindowcolorado? Well, let's go way back to about 1999 when I was considering the wild and crazy idea of putting my landscape photography business 'on line' with a 'website'. I did a search to see if "My Window" was available. It was! I thought about it overnight, and decided to go for it. So early the next morning, I went to set up my website. Someone else had purchased the domain name and was willing to sell it to me. It was someone who had the ability to see what names were searched, then they would buy them so they could resell them. Since A) I would not give them the satisfaction of making a fast buck on me, and B) most of my photographs were of Colorado, I searched and immediately bought mywindowcolorado. A friend of mine knew how to build websites, so he built a beautiful website for me, with Colorado and Hawaii photographs and my paintings. In my art shows and in the 10 different galleries I was in, my sales shifted from photographs to paintings. Then (10 years later) the 'host' quit hosting, and I lost my website at the same time I moved to Florida. I built this website myself (Webstarts makes it easy enough), but for 4 years I only had my paintings on it. Now (2018) I'm finally putting some of my photographs back on the website. You can see why I named my company "My Window". My 'hook' was the hand-built window frame that hung flush to the wall so that you were looking out a window (!) 20"x30" was the standard size, but of course all sizes were available.
